Hello all,
I just moved here from the Netherlands a few weeks back. I am from Montreal (Canada) so I speak both French and English.
If anyone is interested in meeting for a coffee or food sometime to discover Lyon with me, or if you are well acquainted with Lyon and want to simply show me the wonders of Lyon....it would be great to finally get out of the house!
Great ! That would be nice. I am busy this weekend but feel free to send me a message and we can organize something.
Enjoy your time here!
Hi ladies,
I'd quite like to meet up too, if anyone is interested? I moved here a few weeks ago. My daughter just started school so once she is all settled in and attending full time I will have a ton of time on my hands. Let me know when people are meeting up.
Louise
Hello peeps,
I would love to meet up as well. Coffee sounds nice but Im more of a tea person haha x
I just moved to Lyon a few weeks ago as well (same old story haha). Would love to meet up next week sometime in the afternoon. Maybe the Bellecour area? Hope to hear from some of you soon!
Samantha
If you all meet up, I'm in! Raconte-moi la Terre is a casual bookstore/café on Rue du Plat (right around the corner from Place Bellecour) that might be a good option for coffee and tea drinkers alike (if you're hungry, the food is great, too).
I'm free next week at various times on various days.. What works for others? Wednesday afternoon, maybe? Thursday?
Hello,
I was thinking about Raconte moi la terre too! Absolutely love that place!
Wednesday isn't good for me, but what about Monday or Thursday pm?
Let me know xx
Excellent!  Monday I am free, Thursday evening is a bit busier...
Monday work for others?
Hi Girls,
I'd like to meet you too.
I'm french, I live in Lyon since February and we just came from an expatriat in Virginia.
I would love to meet some new friends in Lyon who speak english.
Let me know when and where you would like to meet.
I'm actually looking for a job so i'm free when you want.
Hope to see you soon.
Hey,
Yes, I'll be there: 2pm @ Raconte moi la Terre!
I'll see you there !
Hello all,
I can make it on Tuesday. Since I am new to the city does anyone mind tell me where this location is?
Thanks
Rocky
Sure no pb !
Btw to make it simpler to recognise each other, I'll wear a red with white spots scarf.
See you there!
Hey everyone, I would also like to join but I work until 5 pm. Can we do it later? Sorry for the last minute reply! ;-)
Ok I've just seen that. I can meet you a bit later - 5pm is fine but I don't think Rocky will that message on time...
I can be there at 17:30, but I don't want to switch things and cause rockyn2020 to miss the gathering on my behalf.
rockyn2020 - I hope you see this! Can you be there at 17:30 tomorrow? If he doesn't reply by tonight, I suggest you guys go ahead at 14:00 and I'll join in next time. :-)
Ok, well still no word from rocky...why don't you guys meet at 14:00 as planned and keep in the loop for the next time. It's probably better anyways because I have been summoned to go to the south of france for work the following day and got lots to prepare....have fun!
Hello,
Did you all end up meeting? If there is a repeat, I would love to join you all so thank you in advance for keeping me posted...
hello!!
if you meet next time at a time that allows to join to those ones that work till 18h30 (as me), I will happy to join!!
regarding halloween, last year a lot of people went out disguised, let's see this year that is colder!!
best regards
I would be happy to set up something if a few people are interested... Please send me a direct message with the days and times that work for you and I will try to set up something that will work for as many people as possible.

Hi Mcpete, thanks for the quick reply, I've got to get some work done today and I'm in Paris all week, how about next weekend? I'm going to the meet that Gregorykha has organised at the smoking dog on Saturday but I'm free Sunday afternoon, would that suit you?
Haven't seen your message Domi21, i might come and join you guys on saturday. I ve got to take care of some things but let me know at what time you are going to meet up. take care
hey hey saluuuuut!
I know exactly how you feel being stuck in the house! I arrived in December when the weather was terrible and I've missed the summer here by having to study for work...maaaan it sucked big time
Jst let me know if you would like to meet up, I'm always ready to go out for a coffee (and pastry especially flan nature....!) or a slightly stronger beverage if you prefer, so just let me know if you find yourself at a loose end...
...you will have to tolerate my appalling attempts at French though
A beintot
Mark
