As a general rule, salaries here are quoted monthly and net.

Local wage and a global company would be about 500-700 Euro. They'll pay immigrant workers more if they desperately need the language skills, usually about 1000 Euro. For someone offering fluency in more than one of the required languages, especially if they are less commonly known language amongst local workers (eg. Polish or Dutch or something) then you should be able to negotiate more as you could effectively save them employing an extra worker.

Basically, if you can get between 1000-1500 Euro net, you'd be about on the money. If you are trilngual to native level in languages they need, I would hold out for the higher end of that range.

The leaving family and friends behind doesn't really warrant extra money, that's basically your call to make. The average Romanian worker in Bucharest has probably moved here from elsewhere in the country. Moving away for work is just part of modern life.

Another thing if this is your first job offer in Romania: generally speaking it's up to the job candidate to state the salary they want (rather than the company saying 'this is the job, this is the wage'). You are the one selling your skills so it's up to you to put a price on your services, even if you're going to be PAYE. They'll usually be some negotiation, so start towards the top end of the scale.

I know several expats in Romania, they tell me it should include housing, and a car as well, with yearly flights home and a higher salary between 1500-1700 at least but they are all top management.

But my reason for asking is just to make sure that it will be enough to live and save some money without having to watch everything I spend, in my country I make a lot more (comparing everything)at a lower level function with a car, phone, internet, laptop, expenses, 13th month extra, more holidays etc.

When I look for an apartment, I find reasonable ones for around 500-600 euro, if I only make 1200 ... not much room left.

But on the other hand, one of the biggest companies in the world, growth possibilities are there, training etc is provided.

5 languages of which 3 fluent actually.

Oh well, I'll have to wait for a concrete offer first.

1500Euro net it is  not so much,but it is not little.

1000-1500 Euro/net will not provide you the  "car, phone, internet, laptop, expenses, 13th month extra, more holidays etc."
