galaxy 3 s phone verizon

If I buy my new galaxy 3s in the usa will it work in spain, and what type of plan do we need to talk to grandkids in mesa, arizona. What cost are we talking about. and can we use the phone as a hot spot for laptop use.

Do you have the International Plan with your cell phone carrier? If so then yes, as far as the hotspot, I dont know. When I last checked with AT&T (US for the international plan), it was NO bargain. It was very costly.

When my daughter was in Italy/Spain. She bought a VodaPhone and added VIBER to it, I got all my calls to the US from Viber. It is voice over IP and cost nothing to make or recieve calls. We also used SKYPE which is free, yes she was able to use her laptop at hotspots for SKYPE

Thanks I'll check of the phone...we now have verizon,, and just starting the process for retireing in spain
