Lagos or Nairobi ??

Post new topic

Hi,

I am offered (2 different companies) to go either to Nairobi or Lagos (Nigeria). I am used to "exotic" locations, so I am not easily scared, but to be honest, Lagos seems quite difficult, unless you live in a golden prison. Ok, Nairobi is also unsafe at night, but doable.

I have enough info on Nairobi, but miss the perspective on Lagos. Be honest, is it really that dangerous. Company is saying that I will get protection during travel (car for and after, people with guns, etc..) Is that enough? Will that really help to get around?

I also read that life is expensive (for expats). How much more? Let's say , compared with Dubai?

Anyway, would appreciate some realistic perspective on Lagos.

thanks,
Hank
