can obtain resident visa?

Hi all!
We are a couple with a young kid from Singapore and would like to move to Taiwan permanently.
However, neither me or my husband holds a degree.

We have done endless research on resident visa but came to a conclusion that the only chance to obtain a visa is to study Chinese Language in Taiwan, but we both already are Chinese and been speaking Chinese for over 30 years! I even score a distinction in high school cert.
Is this the only way we can obtain resident visa?
Is it really difficult for us to obtain resident visa in Taiwan then, without degree?

We appreciate any good advise please as we really love Taiwan and wish to move there as our life dream...
