hi, everyone.
i have been registered on this site for a quite a long time now but it was just yesterday and today i really get to enjoy and appreciate most things here.
it was a little disheartening though because i got to talk to someone who seemed to be interesting and has lots to tell about being an expatriate but stopped talking to me, thought i lied being 23yo, thought i lied being from philippines, insisted to tell me where from european country i came from, insisted of me being a language trainer, etc. and i thought (sometimes) it would be good to talk to random people you meet on the internet for the purpose of learning.
anyways, thanks to the variation of interesting topics that got me occupied when i was here. hmmm... i think i better just tone down about telling things in my mind to strangers. what do you say?

I say hello.

Instead of just talking to 1 person, why not talk to all of us.

vmarbeth

@ HaileyinHongkong: hello to you, hailey. yeah, sure i'd do that especially if i get to spend days off from work and look for interesting people to chat with.

@ poorperson1: hi to you. thank you. welcome here too. i hope you get to enjoy your visit on this site. this is a very informative site for people who want to travel and migrate to places unknown to them. so read, explore and learn. :)

Hi vmarbeth,

Nice to meet you. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with one person. Gladly they're not all like that as you can see.

To avoid the problem in the future perhaps you shouldn't share so much of your personal information until you know the person much better. Try it out, see if that helps.

Cheers,

@ wjwoodward: hello, sir. nice to meet you too. :)
thank you for the advice though the picture wasn't really close to that.
it was the opposite that happened actually. he thought i was lying  because i intentionally avoided to answer specific information about myself --- my exact location in my homeplace.  i didn't see any reason why i would divulge that thing to someone i just get to talk. that.
anyways, looks like that that occurrence has led me to know wonderful people. so now when i come here i just don't immediately check for latest articles to read but as well be involved in the forums.
