Beautiful world indeed!

James

Hi Hericles,

Thanks for sharing the beautiful photographs. Yes it surely is a beautiful world.

Oddly enough you've chosen shots of many of the places (6) that I've seen with my own eyes.

1. Cristo Redentor - sitting atop Corcovado in Rio de Janeiro. I live 3 hours from Rio, seen this view many times.

2. Canadian Rocky Mountains - don't know exactly where this shot is taken. Travelled extensively in the Rockies

9. The spectacularly beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver BC Canada (believe it or not I proposed in almost that same spot and later got married in the park)

10.  Aurora Borealis (Canadian north), again don't know exact location of photo, but I've seen the Aurora many times

11.  Canadian Rocky Mountains (again)

13.  Niagara Falls (Canadian side). This photo taken from the City of Niagara Falls NY showing Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada which is 70 miles or so from the city where I was born and raised. Hamilton ON

Let's see if anyone has been to any of the others, shall we?

Hericles,

http://www.einfopedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/amazon-river.jpg

Another spectacular spot in our "big blue marble" we call Earth is the incredible Amazon River, some 6296 miles long. In some spots as I was flying over it, the river is so wide all you could see from the air was water. It was like flying over the ocean. I never dreamed it was so imense until I saw it with my own eyes.

And now just for fun, the Upside-Down house in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil..... I lived very close to this one for a couple of years. Actually two houses on the same property, one upside down and the other on its side. (Notice the bike hanging from the top? hehehehe)

Fortunately not only is it a BEAUTIFUL world, but it is also one where anyone can turn their dreams into reality. All they need do is try hard enough.

Already saw all and like much but world not only sea and nature
On my opinion beautiful world is perfect one and nothing perfect in that world so it only in dreams

vmarbeth

beautiful and wonderful indeed.

James

Hi Mostafa,

Nobody said it was a PERFECT world, it isn't, and probably never will be. That does not prevent it from being BEAUTIFUL nonetheless.

Even in imperfection there is beauty and value. Consider the diamond for example. A diamond (and many other gemstones) are considered much more beautiful and have a much greater value because of the imperfections they contain. Our world, and the people in it, likewise are much more beautiful and valueable despite their imperfections too.

We live in a beautiful world!
What are we doing to save it?

Jaimira

I am literally speechless !

James

The wonderful part is that the beauty is all around us, everywhere. It is also "tailor made" we all find some things beautiful, but not all things are beautiful to all of us. We make our own value judgements about what is or is not beauftiful

RoniFPVGT

Thanks for sharing it.

The_Loner

WOW ! It's said we don't have time to see them all.

BashayerM

It's really amazing
Such places bring the happiness for you when you just see it

V_Nissi

An absolutely beautiful world. I was in Belo Horizonte some years back and I don't remember being told about the upside down houses, wish I had known that then.

James

Hi V_Nissi,

Too bad you didn't know about the houses beforehand. They are located in Nova Pampulha (just out beyond the Belo Horizonte Zoo). They were built by a local lawyer, with a twisted sense of humor, and became an instant tourist attraction. They're a little off the beaten path so if you ever come back to Brazil and want to see them, send me a PM and I will give you directions on how to get there. You can also see them on Google Streetview.
