KL to Langkawi by bus

Hello everyone.

I want to go to Langkawi on this CNY. I want to go by a bus to Kuala perlis.

please suggest which bus service is comfortable for this route..

Hi Sun25,

I went there with Transnational. Not exactly the most comfortable (it would really depend from one bus to another, not really because of the company) but still ok. I liked it though, and it was quite convenient. It depends also from where you leave. Maybe you can go to putra station and see from there different bus companies, timing, cost, and how the bus looks like. If you go in the evening, you will see all buses leaving as they will be traveling by night.

As long you get a ticket from counter, that should be fine or you can find a traveling agent that can arrange a visit for you

You can take any Express Buses from KL to Penang or to Kuala Perlis (in Kedah) and take a ferry from there. Approx. time to reach Langkawi from Penang will be 2 hours and Kuala Perlis to Langkawi will be 45 minutes. You get better busses (new and comfortable) from KL to Penang compared to Kuala Perlis.
