Germans in Bulgaria

Post new topic

angeliqe

are there any Germans here in the forum?
I'll be in Bulgaria in April this year just to find out if it is the place where we could retire in a few years.

May be there is a chance to meet somebody from Germany during my trip through Bulgaria?:)

Greetings from Munich
Angelika

Well, German not exactly.
German speaking most certainly...

angeliqe

close?

it's just a pitty - all the people around me are afraid of Bulgaria. They think the country is full of bears and wolves and tell me not even 10 horeses can bring them there;-)

Sounds more like "what I dont know I fear".
And the majority of people that are critical have never even been near Bulgaria.
I think Bulgria is a wonderful country and has lots to offer if you know where to look.

angeliqe

thank you for the impression and offering direction beahor.

Glad to hear that you feel so well there:-)

I will certainly be in Bulgaria in April - made already arrangement for volunteering but would be open for any advice.

Greetings, Angelika

Hi
We are not German but Swedish and have been living here for nearly 2 years now,
we have still not seen any bears and wolves :).
Bulgaria is fine, here in the village we live a Dutch couple also bought a house.

Hi,

I am a Bulgarian Lawyer who is also part of the expat comminity due to the fact my partner is a foreigner. If you have any questions regarding legal environment here in Bulgaria, feel free to contact me and I hope to be able to assist you in the process of establishing in Bulgaria.

Best regards and good luck,

BeaLo

thank you BeaLo for the offer. Sure I will contact you. This journey will be just for a first impression. It would be great to meet you before I leave the country.

When do you plan to visit Bulgaria and how may I help you with simple practical advices, like routs, buses, directions so on. Is there anyone here to meet you and are you travelling alone? And of course will be great to meet new people who plan to become "bulgarians"...

Hi Angelika, I am German, currently living in Scotland (used to live in Munich for over 20 years) and I intend to buy a house to do up in Central Bulgaria. Planning to go there house hunting either April or end of May depending on working circumstances, and I'd and love to meet up.
There seem to be lots of Germans in Bulgaria at the coast though.

Best wishes and hope to see you, Annette

Annette hello, I am French and I am also in early April to see how Bulgaria and start looking for a land to build on the side of Yunets, Rudnik, Dyulino ... to hunt and fish too. I see that many people are thinking about coming to live in Bulgaria

BeaLo

Very nice 1DIDIER, I hope you will find the perfect place you are looking for. How about if you look in the Rhodopy Moutains region. There are a few artificial lakes where people tend to go at weekends for fishing.

1DIDIER

I prefer to find a place not too far from Varna to health care and Yunets, Rudnik ... correspond to what I'm looking there are 2 lakes including the next tzonevo is immense. As for the hunting site seems to me quite woody for my leisure.

angeliqe

oh sorry - sometimes the workload ...

@beaLo
Will be travel alone this time. The first step after landing is that I take a bus from Sofia to Velingrad visiting a german lady.

After that I will be around Veliko Tarnovo volunteering. The Rest of the time just viewing houses – but not buying yet. Hopefuly that will happen, when I come with my partner.

I will be in Sofia as of April 21st. I booked a Hotel there for not missing my plane back. So, if your times alows it to meet me, it would be great

@Annette9
very nice to read from you, we have some things in common I guess.

Hopefully you will manage to travel in April so we could meet

Angelika,

Certainly, looking round and getting first impressions is always a good idea. And April too is a good time before it gets too hot.
