Omoa Area - Worth a visit?

gdotster

Hello All, new to the blog.  Heading down to Honduras for a few weeks in November to check into future retirement plans/ vacation/ diving.  Anyone have input on the Omoa area?  Good area for living, or even a quick visit on vacation?  I see a lot of input on Trujillo, La Cieba and Roatan, but very little about elsewhere.  Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Omoa is more of a commercial port city in my view. There's a few good restaraunts there. I investigated this area over a period of a few years back in the day. I chose just outside of La Ceiba. San Pedro Sula is not far from Omoa so if you like big malls and the city thing, it could be a great spot for you. I personally do not know any real attractions there. Maybe someone can chime in that works or lives in San Pedro.

Cheers
