Flag Football/Ultimate Frisbee

Post new topic

bebe517

Just moved here and really wanting to do some outdoorsy sports. I saw a post from last year about flag football and can hopefully start that again? I also love ultimate frisbee. I teach during the weekends and a couple nights a week but I think maybe a weekday at about 5:30, (or later, when it is cooler if we find a place with lights) would be good. Anyone want to try and get a weekly thing together? Either or both would be fun, you don't need to be good, just a way to make some friends be active and then of course get some drinks after. Hopefully I hear back from people. Girls and guys!

Hi Brittany,

Flag football and ultimate frisbee sounds great, though not too good at the latter. I'd be definitely interested in joining in either one.

Also, saw that there was a dodge ball facebook group that apprently plays here in HCM regularly. Sounds amazing, but have not checked out yet.

I know some people play Frisbee football in the far end of Park (B) on pham ngu lao.... Wednesday.... Thursday and Sunday nights... they all speak English. I'm sure they will let you play... but it's on asphalt not grass...

Every Wednesday a lot of expats play ultimate Frisbee around 5 PM at SSIS in Phu My Hung, D7. They play on the soccer fields inside the school grounds. It's all usually staff members of the school and several other teachers from international schools. It's pretty good crowd.

Of course it is Wednesday. I work Wed and Friday nights. Maybe when that class gets over I will be able to join....Thanks for the info!

No problem. If you need any details on how to get there, don't hesitate to ask. If you ever make it over you just have to sign in with security, and tell them that you're there for Frisbee.

Hey all,

I have a good group who is committed to play some ultimate frisbee this sunday.

We can all do Sundays (late afternoons like 4-6 or anytime after) or Mondays. Is that convienient for everyone? I'm thinking about getting a group and then we can all go for drinks after. How does that sound?

Ill keep in touch via the expat forum and if you all have any questions or concern: 0128 344 1418.

Sunday at like 6, or Monday evenings about 6 work well. Sounds great!
Shoot me a text! 01226221922.

fisher1175

I wanna play too! Should I just text either of you two for the details?

bebe517

sphung-or anyone else- do you know where we can play though? We will need lights if we play at 6.
Also, a friend of ours plays in a bluegrass band on Tuesday nights at O'Briens. Starts at 8 and we go pretty much every Tuesday if anyone is looking for things to do or make some new friends! (I know I am)

I can definitely play on Sunday. Please finalize time/place. I'll meet up.

Hey all, thanks for the response. I just realize I have a farewell BBQ at 4 PM on Sunday, but I am still willing to play at 6 PM on Sundays. How does that work with everyone?

@Brittany: Thanks for the invite, Im supposed to meet up with a few friends but ill see if I can make it out next week. Hopefully Ill see you Sunday.

Ill finalize the time and location with you all in the next two or three days.
