Cuenca vs Medellin

Post new topic

PattiH

Is there anyone on this board who has lived both Medellin Colombia and Cuenca Equador?
I'm researching for relocation. I'm down to Medellin and Cuenca. Other than weather, and "feel" of the two cities they seem fairly comparable.
This has been (and is) a very interesting journey. I originally started with Panama.
Would love to get some feedback.
Thanks
Patti

Did you read Kathie Peddicord's recent comparison on Live & Invest Overseas? That should tell you all you need to know.

Cuenca heat?

This thread has been dormant for a decade,

somehow surviving the Home Office's recent

attempts to scrub our most ancient threads.

However, the topic of Cuenca vs. Medellin

is arguably evergreen, so I am pumping a little

life into este hilo antiguo.

Now to the part about Cuenca, which has been

recording record-high temperatures for August

and September due to El Niño effects

on ocean water which have been producing more

sunny days than usual.

What's most amazing about this 'heat wave' is

that August's recent new high was only 77 degrees F.

and the new all-time September record is just 76 F, set

on September 3. August is often the coolest

month of any given year.

Temps in the low to mid 80's F. are common in

Medellin in any month of the year.
