Hi Lakshmish and Welcome to the Forum :)

Since your company is providing you with a Family Status, Accomodation and A Car, then you would be able to make some savings however this falls into your hands and depends mainly on your personal expenses.

Good Luck :)

If you had been living an upper middle class life in Bangalore with the usual week end habits of going to MG road, restaurants, movies, outings on weekend from Bangalore, then it you would need at least 1000 RO. However you may be able to maintain a lower middle class life within 600 RO. Saving anything may be difficult though.

Omanagri

600RO is not full fill your dizre ask for 1500RO is also peenuts in petroleum industry in this industry you have to work more then 14 hrs so think before moving from  India you will not able spare time with your family moreover be clear about terms & condition , Its very tough&hard industry

take care

Dear Lakshmi,
Would you mind informing about the company and the designation you're offered to. If you are an engineer and you;ve got this offer in the oil and gas sector, i'll suggest you not to accept it. Just for your information to be added, the minimum salary scale for an oil and gas engineer in Oman starts from OMR 3000 plus all benefits (Only If you're less experienced), however on a relevant experience and education, the salaries are considerably high. Please be informed that im specific to "ENGINEERS" in Oil&Gas industry. However for any other post, the salareies are less (May be much lesser).

OMR 600, however is a considerable salary in general, provided all the expenses (utilities) have been taken care by your company. With this salary and a primary life style, you'll be able to save atleast 30 - 40% of your total salary.

Regards,
Schaz.
