Moving Overseas

Moving Overseas to have more for your money.  Preferably Panama where Health Insurance is affordable.
Checked out Ecuador - via the Internet.Seems they have Yellow fever, lots of muggings and hijackings.  Earthquakes and active volcanoes.  Not ideal retirment country.
Had a quick look at Venezuela, but a bit isolated.
Any suggestions from people who have been in Spanish speaking areas?  Although it seems English is widely spoken in Panama.

Hi!

I'm originally from Colombia and even though it doesn't have a good reputation internationally, it has become quite peaceful in recent years. There are muggings and petty robberies all over the third world. It's a pity but a reality where the gap between rich and poor is so wide. You just learn to be careful and keep your wits about you, avoid certain areas and wearing jewellry where not advisable.
Have you considered Costa Rica? Peaceful, inexpensive, beautiful and generally safe.
Look into it!

Buena Suerte!

Thanks Lilian
I am looking at a few options.  Costa Rica is one of them. Would like to see more co-operatives in South America.  It would make sense to pour resources together and making it easier to live together.  One could learn skills and be part of a larger group.
Ah we see, maybe one day people will take to it.
Regards Martha
