Weather in September

Hi, I plan to visit for 2 t 3 weeks in September, Saigon and Nga Trang. Is weather okay this time of year. I don't mind some rain, but just not sure if it rains all the time?

September is closer to the end of the wet season. I would expect some rain, but it's not that bad really.
In HCMC typically you will get a little rain maybe even every day, but it rains short and sharp. Usually for a brief period first thing in the morning and maybe again around late afternoon. The rest of the time it will be hot and maybe humid depending how much moisture is in the air.
Nha trang, maybe a little drier around that time.

Oh brilliant thank you. I don't mind a bit of rain - it cools things down. September is not its hottest time though is it? I went to Thailand last year in June and got roasted, is the heat in Vietnam just as severe? Is September cooler?

Temperatures aren't too bad then. Mid to high 20's couple of low thirties maybe. It's nice enough and like you say the rain cools things down
