My Experience in Thailand

Hi Folks,

I'm originally from Amsterdam, Holland but have lived in Thailand for over 22 years now. During my first 10 years I lived in Bangkok and worked with several music production companies. By the way I'm a musician and compose/arrange/orchestrate original and existing songs. In 1992 I had my own Fusion-Jazz Band where we performed our own originals. Besides this I composed and arranged music for many projects, one of them was orchestrating broad-way tunes for the Royal Thai Navy Orchestra. In 1996 I started teaching classical/pop/jazz piano for "Mahidol University".
In 2000 my wife and me moved to Chiang Mai to start a family. We now have a son and daughter.

The first three years in Chaing Mai I continued to work with Mahidol by arranging existing songs as a free-lance. In 2003 I changed my job and started working with "Education Center" as the Music Director of the Foreign Department.
In 2006 I become a music teacher at an international Thai school in order to earn a steady income (you know how it goes when you have two kids).
In 2008 I switched to become an ESL teacher and I'm currently still teaching in this position.
Currently in my free time I still teach piano and additionally bass-guitar in rock & pop. If you're interested in studying with me you can have a look at the classifieds section.

I wish all expats in Chiang Mai good luck and when you have some questions don't hesitate to contact me,

With friendly greetings,
                        Orange Hans

Thanks for your invitation nalinn. Unfortunately, at this time we're not able to come to Bangkok, since I will be doing a 10 day meditation retreat. Anyway thanks for your invitation, Orange Hans
