Start up costs in Istanbul

Hi,

I have a job lined up so I need money to keep me going for the month before I get paid along with additional costs of starting in a new city. I will be looking for a room in a shared flat, will need to buy a phone, travel to work and to view rooms, eat and maybe socialise and little bit, (but am not one for late nights anymore!) I will also need money for a month's rent and deposit (hoping that is all that is required!), as well as enough to stay in a hotel or hostel for about a week. I'm hoping I will find a room in a few days!

How much would you recommend I have ready to bring with me as a minimum? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well depends where you want to stay so lets say rent a room for 650 TL a monh + 1 month deposit ( f youll live in taksm besktas and around )
you will have to buy a phone well depends on wich but lets put a budget of 1000 TL
you will have to travel eat sociales and myabe stay in a hotel for few days lets say bring 2000 tl more
so its makes : 4300 tl lets say it will make 2400 US Dollars
