Admission procedure to a CEGEP in Quebec

Post new topic

jock3r37

Hi, guys! The deadline to submit an application for admission to a CEGEP in Quebec for the fall term is March 1st. I graduate from High School in May, therefore I get my documents no earlier than May. How am I supposed to apply for admission before I even graduate? What documents should I send to the CEGEP then? Transcripts and records from previous years? But that means I have not finished the High School yet! Besides, how do you guys send documents electronically? Do you scan them or what? I am not a Canadian btw.
Thank you in advance.

Good evening,

I am a Canadian leaving in Montreal.  The papers required to apply to CEGEP are

Birth certificate ;
Transcripts and diplomas from your last two years of high school
Language test results the test to be passed is the TOFEL. The IELTS is also accepted.
Comparative evaluation of studies completed outside of Canada
from the ministère de l’Immigration et des communautés culturelles du Québec
Payment for fees 80 $ CAN

In all cases, photocopies are accepted.

Once you are accepted in  CEGEP , you must apply for a study permit  with the approval letter.   Also, If you are under 18 years old and coming to Canada to study without your parents, you must also go to a GUARDIANSHIP notarized appliaction letter.

The proces can be a bit complicated if you don't know about it but there are ressources to help you through the process.

Good luck.
