Residence permit without housing contract

Emzz

Hi guys

Could really use your help! I've just moved to Luxembourg, and have a job, and am about to get a room in a shared house.

I am not an EU citizen though, therefore, I have to get a residence permit.

In order to get one, the websites say that I need to have a housing contract. However, as I am renting a room in a house share, I will not have a proper contract of this sort.

How strict is this? Are there any alternative documents one can use instead?

Desperately need to know before I actually rent a place.

Thanks a bunch!
Em

Hello Emzz and welcome to Luxembourg

The best way to solve your problem is to go to your Municipality and ask them exactly what u need to do.
They surely will give u the proper advises and they normally don´t complicate.

Good luck :)
