Good Morning VVVVVVVung Tau.

Good Morning VVVVVVVung Tau.  You have to have seen "Good Morning Vietnam" with Robin Williams to appreciate the VVVVVV.

I'm a new-ish member, having been away for quiet some time.  Anyhow, wanted to post here to see who else is from Vung Tau.

I live in the province but not far from VT City.  I occasionally like to drive around on my motorbike to appreciate the cool beach wind.  Wouldn't mind meeting up with a few expats over coffee (I don't drink alcohol) and talk about experiences living in Vietnam.

I live in Vung Tau but I'm in Qatar right now, be home in 3 weeks

Hey!!! I lived in Vietnam for 2 years. Have a lot friends there. Filipinos mostly as I am from the Philippines. I used to sing at a bar called the Black Pearl. If you're ever in VT city and happen to drop by the bar, the Filipina singers there are very good friends of mine. You should say hello. They're friendly :)

The best 2 years of my life were in Vung Tau. I'm hoping I can come visit again soon. Hope you're having fun over there!!

VungTauDon

Yes, I've seen you there before. Did you also do some singing at the bar in the Imperial hotel?

Guestposter89

Yes! I did actually for about 6 months.

VT and Qatar...I take it you're in the oil industry?

VungTauDon

Yes, I'm an American who is living in Vietnam, working for a Norwegian drilling company, drilling in Qatar for a French oil company.  :D
