Power cuts

Hi, can anybody help me? Why is it that there are so many power cuts in the black river area,I have only been here since April I I think we have had at least a dozen ranging from 5mins to a couple of hours. Thanks any info or comment will help.......

Is it? Sorry - don't want to make fun of you, just the question sounds funny once you're here for a long while. Welcome to Mauritius! I just discussed yesterday with somebody the interruption of power, water and food supply a while ago in New York because of heavy snowfalls. Well in Mauritius we can do all that without any snowfalls...
