Arrived in Ireland to make a fresh start. WOW how things have changed. Cost of living is a bit of a shock folks! I have been visiting Ireland for about twenty years on and off,mainly Mayo/Galway areas and a little bit of Dublin.
I am renting for a while in beutiful Galway having moved from Wales,and am looking for suggestions for places to check out to live perminatley.I like art,music, sport and meeting people.I nice village location would be great with a couple of pubs etc etc.

I'm living in Dublin myself but hopefully will move to Carrick in Shannon in the next year if things work out....this is after a lot of research...Carrick is a great town, lots going on, great art scene, lots of sporting activities, plenty of great property available to buy and to rent....if you're not familiar with it, you should check it out.聽 Its in聽 Co. Leitrim...if you google Carrick on Shannon there's a couple of websites which will give you lots of info.聽 Best of luck!
