Hi everyone (or I guess I should say Hola a todos)!

Thought i'd intrude and introduce myself quickly!

I'm Martyn, 29 years old and am moving to Barcelona on the 14th September to look for teaching work.  I have a CELTA and a bit of recent teaching experience and enough money for a couple of months...so other than that I guess we'll see!

Am planning on basing myself in Cerdanyola, where I have a friend and where the rent is apparently a lot cheaper (and still within commuting distance of Barna).

Anyway, i'd definitely be interested in some expat events/hangouts.

Especially if anyone is interested in imersing themselves in the barcelona music scene...have already found a couple of events I want to go to:

Mudhoney
!!!
Primavera Club

and hopefully lots of other stuff...am trying not to book tickets/get too excited so as not to jinx anything.

Am also keen on exploring the Barcelona lindy hop scene!

So there you have it.  Feel free to shout at me, message or whatever and look forward to hopefully meeting some of you soon!

Hi Martin,

I was thinking of going to see Mudhoney, also planning to go to Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Eels and Suede.

If you want to go to see of them let me know, always more fun with someone else.
