Homeschooling

Hi, are there any families homeschooling their kids in Hanoi? We recently arrived and would like to meet other homeschool families. Our son is 12 and in 7th grade, we are using Global Village School curriculum (California, US, based). Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Fayeranch, Just a question that in no way is meant as criticism of home schooling: Will your curriculum include Vietnamese language and culture lessons? If so, I assume you would bring in someone to teach those.

I do. For the subjects I'm not qualified we have qualified teachers, like music, foreign language etc.

Good for you. One thing I admire about home schooling is that it involves the parents intimately in their children's education. Good luck and enjoy your stay in Vietnam.

Good choice. As Hanoi International schools' quality is not very good and the rate is extremely high.
