Any foodie out there? We have been fairly disappointed with the quality of eating out in Haarlem. Do you have any hidden restaurants that you are willing to share?

My current favourite eating place nearby is in Amsterdam, Bord'eau. Check out the lunch menu, Euro38 (3 course) inclusive of parking!

Hi.

Try Toto Dorado in Spuistraat, Amsterdam.
Both Bord'eau and Sumo are good.

We used to eat at Sumo for quick fix... But we found Hokkai Kitchen (take away with few bar stools) serves much better sashimi and sushi.

Bord'eau just got upgraded to 2 star today! I am so going back.

Ratatouille Food & Wine in Haarlem has gotten one star lately. Went there without knowing that it got a star. I thought that they were trying very hard but not quite there for the star. However, it is very affordable for a starred restaurant.

Enjoy Chapeau at Bloemendaal every time we go there, the outdoor looks good in the summer too.

Hokkai kitchen is closed. the only Sushi place that is operated by somewhat real Japanese in Haarlem. Only left their original outlet in Ijmuiden, non Chinese chef - real Japanese cutting and making your sushi.
