In the developing world it is quite common for the illuminator of a fluorescent tube to flick and flick and flick before having enough of a kick to light the tube up.

It's kind of like connections being carried over the synapses of the brain...in "dim" folks it often takes several flicks before having enough juice for the idea light to come on.

Are you a "tube light" Dave? Or are you just pullin' me leg?
