I am no chef or professional food critic just a girl on the right side of her twenties  who is always on the lookout for good food in her new city. I am staunch believer in good food and truly believes that not all good food is expensive. As much as I love the meal experiences in fine dining restaurants, I also have a passion for street food and hole in the wall diners.

Always on the lookout for fellow lovers of good food. Do drop me a note if you are in or coming to Dubai.

Hi ladies,

You do not know what you miss when you can't imagine all the flavours and tasty food you can have in Marrakech and Fez for almost very few dollars.

Please feel free to ask questions and I will be happy to answer them.

Hi Debzn,

I'm new in Dubai and always in for checking out some new place for dining and wining.  I'm Belgian and on the far far side of my twenties ;-) (hopefully not an obstacle for you).  I used to go out for dinner regularly in Belgium and am open for trying any cuisine.

Hope to hear from you.

Dubai's a haven foodies, from good cheap eats to celebrity restaurants. As i live alone it's difficult to cook all the time, maybe we should set up a food circle to explore all there is on offer.

Hi Harry,

Thanks and yes, seems like a good idea.  I'm also single and it is nice if you don't have to cook and eat alone every now and then.

I would suggest a fixed day, like "cheap" dining every second Thursday of the month and checking out a new place or "celebrity" dining every fourth Friday (just thinking out loud).  It avoids the hassle of finding a suitable date, people can "register" on the forum, everybody can come up with ideas and new places.

In case someone wants to cook and invite at home, the others  chip in or do likewise.

Already looking forward...

Marleen

Hi Debz,

Unfortunately I haven't heard from you.  Did you receive my e-mail?

Pity, cause I would really appreciate some company now.:(

Best regards,
Marleen

Hey Marleen,

I am interested to join the food circle, but probably should plan to start this after Ramadan ?

Hi Armen,

and thank you for expressing your interest!

Yes, it will only actually start mid September because my foot is broken and my leg is in a cast until then.

Meanwhile I will set up a separate blog, cause this is Debz's blog.  Remember to have a look there!

Best regards,
Marleen
