Given that Senegal is a democratic nation, that it is not in the midst of a Civil War or anything like that it is almost impossible that you would be granted asylum in Brazil. It's difficult enough to get any kind of visa for this country, do you really think they'll give anybody refugee status just because they ask for it? You need to PROVE that your life is in danger should you remain in your country.

Brazil only offers asylum to international fugitives, spies and war criminals. You would be better off seeking asylum away from people like this. :D

While this is a fact, it does not mean it is the case for you. But it is unlikely you will get asylum.

Forgot terrorists and convicted muderers, Matt!!!

Just to show what I was talking about Globo G1 had an article today about refugees in Brazil. Senegal was the country that generated the second most refugee requests in 2013 with 961 refugee requests while only 4 were granted for Senegalese citizens that year.

Not much of a chance for you my friend as I said before. Your country is considered stable and safe.
