Seeking a job in Copenhagen

Post new topic

Hello all,

I am looking for some assistance from some fellow expats. My fiancee, a Danish citizen, and I, an American citizen, are getting married in August and moving to Copenhagen. I am a recent graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in International Business.

I am curious as to where most of the expats found jobs, and/or searched for jobs. My danish is not the greatest, my comprehension and understanding is fair, but my speech is rather poor.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated, and thanks for reading.

I searched jobindex.dk and LinkedIn. They were the only two websites. I also networked like crazy. It took me seven months to get a job - whilst I was waiting to get my foot in the door I threw myself into learning the language and trying to read up on new skills (for me I tried to read up on SEO as I work in marketing and didn't really know a lot about it). I won't lie, it is easier to get a job if you speak Danish (no surprises there) but it is not impossible to land a job without it.
