GPS devices in Cebu

Hello.聽 I am moving to Cebu in a few months.聽 I am deciding on things to bring and things to dispose before I leave.聽 Will my Garmin & Magellan GPS devices work in Cebu?聽 I assume i will have the load a different map but question is if there is anything out there..聽 Thanks.

Hello Walterc,

Yes it will work here.聽 You will have to purchase the maps for the Philippines.聽 If you have a charger for it then check to see if it is 110v to 220v usage.聽 If it is 110v only then get a dual voltage charger. for it.聽 Mine from the USA works fine here.聽 If you have a USB cable for it you can use it on Google Earth to locate your position.聽 Google Earth has a interface for GPS units.

Thank you.聽 I'll check the websites for info then.聽 My charger cables all plug into the 12v or USB outputs so I'm good to go.聽 I didn't realize GE can be used to interface with these devices.聽 I'll give it a try as well.
