Schooling in Manama

Post new topic

expat.com

Hi everybody :)

Could you tell us about the different schooling possibilities in Manama?

Are there nurseries in Manama (national/international)?

Which national schools are established in Manama (primary, secondary, high school, universities)?

Which international schools are available (primary, secondary, high school, universities)?

Thanks a bunch for your participation :)

What are the universities in Bahrein?

SNR,

Unfortunately we as expates are not able to send our kids to the national public schools.

I'm sending my kids to St Christophers (from K to 12) which is widely speculated as one of the highest rated schools in the world.. Whilst other schools offer great educational opportunities and definately are competetive in terms of education / sporting activities etc i would still have my 2 boys at st chris.

nursery schools: Little jems (highly recommand and is an affiliate of st chris), montysaurus (spellin check?!?!) - cant think of anymore currently.

K - 6: St chris junior school, British school and Nadeen. all private and all operate from the british curriculam.

7 - 12: St chris, british school - cant think of anymore.

Uni's: No idea

What i can say is that you need to register ASAP as you may be put on a waiting list for all the above schools mentioned.

Additionally, school fees are extremly high in comparison to that of Australia and NZ.

Anything else let me know.

A
