Hi all,

We invite you to talk about the cost of living in Pakistan in 2015, with an updated price listing.

Don't forget to mention in which city of Pakistan you are living in.

How much does it cost to live in Pakistan?

> accommodation prices

> public transportation fares (tube, bus etc.)

> food prices (your monthly budget)

> health prices (for those who need medical insurance)

> education prices (if you need to pay)

> energy prices (oil, electricity)

> common bills (Internet, television, telephone, mobile phone)

> price for a good menu in a traditional restaurant

> price for a coffee or a drink

> price for cinema tickets

Do not hesitate to add items to this list! ;)

Thank you in advance for your participation.

TAHIR AZIZ KHAN

I am listing the following prices up to 2104 (as I left Pakistan in the end of Sep. 2014 and have been living here in Sydney, Australia since then).

1) Cost of Accommodation in Wah Cantt: Rs. 25,000 per month (to rent a normal house)

2) Public Transportation Fares: Rs. 1000 per month

3) Cost of Food i.e. Cost of Grocery (we cannot consider the Food only): Rs. 25000 per month

4) Cost of Health: Rs. 5000 per month

5) Cost of Education: Rs. 10,000 per child per month

6) Cost of Energy (i.e. for petrol, electricity: Rs. 25,000 per month

7) Cost of Common Bills: Rs. 6000 per month

8) Cost of Dining Out: Rs. 5000 per month

9) Cost of Snack / Tea etc: Rs. 1000 per month

10) Cost of Cinema / Club, etc: Rs. 1000 per month

Total of all the above-given expenses: Rs. 104,000 (with one child to school)

It was the minimum estimate given by me for the year 2014. The average estimate to live in Wah Cantt (according to 2014) in an average way of living needs to have Rs. 110,000 per month per family.
