FOSTER FAMILIES

Post new topic

Mangelesvt

Hello everybody. I introduced myself a few weeks ago. We, my family and I, are moving to Bahrain next summer.
I have a very important doubt for us. We are the Foster Family of a 6 years old girl. Although we are Spanish, she is Nigerian.

My question is: Does anybody know which law is fostering families under? Is it (fostering) usual in Bahrain? Do you think that this little girl could have problems in her living there for being in this situation? What does the Shariat says about it?

Any detail, although small or simple, could help us a lot.

Thak you very much.

Did you legally adopted her or she is living with you (like a guest)?

If you didn't legally adopted her, that may means that, she is not a part of your family (legally i meant, don't misunderstand). In this case, you may not get a family member resident visa for her.

It's better for you to share this information with the company which you'll work for. Than you may get a correct answer.

Good luck with that M but he's right, check with your company. My friend it's single mom. She not get a family resident visa for her 20 month old because she wasn't married. Now she has to take him out of the country every so often to get anew vise every time

Thanks a lot Ihsanozbakir and Lindochka for your answers.

I've seen at the webpage of Ministry of Social Development they have a Foster Families Program, like in my country (Spain). No, she is not adopted. She is living with us until her family can take care of her (it'll be a long time for that, if it happens ever). Nevertheless, we are her responsible, her custodio legally.

Anyway, I'll ask about your option to make sure of her future situation in Bahrain.

Thank you.

Sorry for the typos... I really need to wear my glasses when messaging.
