studying in Qatar

Post new topic

FatimaSara

Hi,

I have been given an opportunity to study Arabic  in Qatar for a year.  What is life like for females there and how safe is it? I have been to Morocco and Turkey and there is a lot of hassle from the men and no chance to go out alone and I like to have my freedom and independence so this is important for me.

Thanks in advance

It is nor as free as those countries
but still you can go out by yourself
it is a safe country

I am not sure if that answer all of your questions so let me know

Yeah I know no where will be as free as London. But as long as I know that I can go out to the shops or go to meet people then that will be fine. Is it diverse in terms of the people there?

I do not think it is that much an issue here. My daughters live in australia and and they visit me time to  times during my time here (just about one year). They really love the place. There are no countries you can say 100% safe but you are free to move around as long as you respect the culture and  people of the country you are visiting.
best,
sumith.
