Can i get a company to sponsor a work visa for me?

Hi I'm from Singapore and would like to move to Scotland as my boyfriend is currently in Edinburgh. How can i get a company to sponsor a work visa for me. I'm in the banking industry? Is it better if i study there? If so can i apply directly from the Uni there for the courses that i'm interested?

I think you can but it may be very, very difficult as there are thousands of students here already wanting to do the same.

If i were you, i'd start a Uk search first and see what comes up.
