In the UK, this is quite simple - cheap in Argos and decent in Ikea...

But in Brazil?

We are trying to purchase a cot, closet and set of drawers for the baby and I have no idea where to start!

I tried Etna but it was over-priced, shoddy and the staff were useless.

It's going to be impossible to give you any constructive suggestions unless we know where in Brazil you are going to be living. It's an extremely large country (35 times larger than the UK)  and prices will vary widely in different parts of the country.

We're in Goiania :)

Have you tried this store? I think you will find it on a par with Ikea.

Hi Gareth !
I lived in Goiania for two years, Have a look at what Casas Bahia and Americanas has to offer .

James

Their prices are low, but almost everything is MDF which will not stand up to prolonged use, especially in parts of Brazil where humidity levels are high.

ClaudioD

That`s right James , but Goiania is a dry place . The problem there is the so called "Cupim" that eats any kind of wood if not treated .
