It's not fair. It snowed yesterday morning but now all we have is wind/rain and not snow. Wind! And rain. What can one do when it's raining and windy? At least you can fling snow to passers-by. In this case, though, I'm the one being flung around by the wind. Welcome to the South. D*mn mistral. I can't even open my umbrella without turning into Mary Poppins.

I don't always complain, really. It's a pleasure to be in Expat-blog. Although I still can't find myself on the User Map. When those pink little thermometer-looking things started to pop up on the map and take over France, I panicked and closed the window. There's a zoom-in feature, I know. I was wondering, though, if I could specify 'Aix-en-Provence' to my profile? Been trying to find out how to do so for the past three minutes. Four, now.

Hello! Anyone from Aix?

-Kala

PS. I just realised I wrote too much for an introduction.

Julien

Welcome Kala!

No you didn't write too much ;)

Don't forget to add your blog address in your profile. I am in the south of France too (perpignan) we had a lot of snow today!

Why did you move to France?

Have a good evening,

Julien

Me, Madam, I was an Aixois for fifteen years. Now that I moved to Marseille (s) I find Aix really boring and posh. Well, that's part of its charm I guess.

Enjoy the snow, it's a rare delicacy down there ;)

Olivier de Montréal

Moi je veux bien échanger ton mistral contre la tempête de neige prévue pour les jours prochains... ;)

Salut Julien! I moved to France because of the silliest reason of all - because of a special someone! Har!

Hi Tom - Used to work in Marseille... Frankly, though, I prefer Aix because I find the tramway travaux really irritating, and mostly because of Cinema Mazarin and its Version Originales ;-). It's true that Aix is a bit too posh, though. Do you still come to Aix from time to time, though?

Olivier - D'accord! Euh... c'est quoi ton adresse postale? Je vais t'envoyer le mistral par colis...;-)

Julien

Ah l'Amour! :-)

Aaaah Aix-en-Provence was nicknamed by foreign students as 'Sex-en-Vacances'. Nice countryside though, do you know the quaint littles villages around : Ventabren, Rognes, Eguilles ?

Indeed the cinéma Mazarin and its VO are a good point too. It was bought by the Cezanne a few years ago... I think Aix has the best movie theater's rooms per inhabitant rate of France.

I do come back to the crime scene every summer as a part of my holidays (pilgrimage???) in France (well I should say my 'tour de France' cause I have to visit my family who was nice enough to scatter all over the country...). Let's grab a coffee next summer on the Place des Cardeurs, I'm not very found of the ugly Cours Mirabeau. The Place de la Mairie is ok too.

Do you live in the center ?
