In September there is the The Festa della Rificolona in the City. It is nothing else than the Festival of the Paper Lanterns it is really worth seeing.

The  large basilica of Santissima Annunziata is in the center of this big festival in the end of the summer. Today, the religious celebrations is not in the center of the party any more but the origins back to peasants, which came from the whole Tuscany in order to celebrate.

When it gets dark a lot of people are walking through the streets with lanterns and make the city a bright place in a mild autumn evening. People have food and drink wine in the restaurants.
