Safety in Chile

Post new topic

Christine

Hi,

We would like to talk about a sensitive but important topic: do you feel safe in Chile?

How would you define the level of safety in the country?

Can you walk safely during the day and at night without any fear?

Do you think there is a high rate of criminality, social problems or tensions?

Share with us your insight on safety in Chile and in the city you live in.

Thank you in advance,

Christine

Hi

I have been living in Santiago for several years and I haven't got any issue about safety. It is up to the zone where you live. It means if you live in the downtown or far away you should find many issues (Puente Alto for instance). On the other hand, if you live in Providencia or Las Condes you will be safer.

Regards,

Mario

We have lived in Los Angeles and Pucon. Totally safe. You can walk anywhere, anytime of the day or night and nobody is going to mess with you. It is a very safe country.
