Badminton in Barcelona?

Hey everyone,
As the subject suggests, I'm looking for a place (and potentially people to play with) to play badminton in Barcelona. Does anyone play or know of a place to play?
I used to spend many happy hours playing in my back garden (back when I had a back garden) and would love to pick it up again!
hiya
the federation of catalan badminton in rambla guipuscoa 23/25 might be able to help you.Ìý also there is a webpage for this organisation badminton.cat.
i used to play a lot of badminton and tennis.Ìý although getting on a bit, would be fun to get back into the habit so if you need a player let me know. happy hunting
Thanks a lot! I may also have found somewhere in my area (Gracia)
I'm not quite sure how it works, but I just got my NIE, so might be able to start looking into municipal facilities. I hope!
I want to be able to play badmington, but I just can't.
I'm not terrible at tennis, I can manage not to die whilst playing squash, but...
I just can't seem to hit the bloody shuttlecock, something about the way it moves, the speed through the air or something just means that I completely misjudge where it is going to be at any given time, and end up swinging my racket through empty space and looking like a complete cock.
I don't know why
J: That's exactly what I like about the game: it's unpredictability! That damn thing falls so weird that you have to be both extremely quick and ready for anything! With a tennis ball, for example, you can see exactly where and how the ball will come. I also like how light the game is, both racket and shuttle.
Oh, just NEVER play it on a windy day!
My wife on the other hand has just informed me that she would like to play badminton if anyone is looking for someone to play with.
Diddly - you've got her email
Steven - I'll send it to you

Hi Everyone,
I have just come to Barcelona and live next to University of Pompou Fabra. I would like to know if there is a place to play Badminton and if anyone is interested to play regularly.
I found this place (suggsted by Ronan): "Polideportivo Municipal de la Estacion Norte, C/ NÃ pols, 42, 08018 Barcelona", which charges like 6 Euros per hour OR 30 Euros per month.
If someone knows a place cheaper than this, please let know.
Cheers,
Vivek
Hi,
My name is Juan and I am very interested in playing Badminton on week-ends and, if possible, on a reguular basis (in something like a club).
The best club I know in Barcelona is in Bellaterra, in UAB university SAF installations. I used to go there for a period but the fact of having to drive my car at rush hours made mi quit.
For Barcelona city center I tried Sants but found that the level was very unbalanced in between people.
And for a period I playes at Estació Nord in weekends with people I got to know in internet...that was quite nice even though the surface is quite carapy.
If anyone wants to play contact me!
Thanks!
Juan
Hey Joan ,
We can play this Sunday .... I am too interested in playing on a regular basis .... Are you talking about "poliesportiu" complex ?
Lets play this Sunday.... Vivek has also shown interest to play, He can join in too ....Ìý As for me, I am in.
  Let me know
Regards
Hi Harsh,
I'm out this weekend but please count on me for next one!!!
Yes I used to play at poliesportiu. They give you the net and it's quite cheap, though I can't remember exactly the price.
My mail is jplanzac2@gmail.com. Maybe we could create a Barcelona Badminton mailing list, like a google group or something. (Or just this forum)
Regards,
Juan
