Hi Raha, when I was in Saudi (Khobar), I once bought a 5 kg bag of sea salt in Azizia Panda. Don't know if this helps!

Actually, I JUST stopped by a local branch and was excited to find Mortin's sea salt sold!

I think it's ironic to be unable to find sea salt in the country that occupies the entire east cost of the red sea; saltiest sea in the world

Good point, Max!  Make your OWN sea salt (pour it in a shallow pan and let the water evaporate). 

First time I ever had sea salt was years ago in a cantina in a very small village on the west coast of Mexico.  It was in a tiny terra cotta bowl and you had to take a pinch with your fingers and sprinkle it over your food!

if you are in jeddah than visit Al-Aziziah near Pakistan int School,there are few shops of these things i am sure you will get sea salt from their.......

I think they are available with Abazeer stores in Jeddah.

Otherwise, we have them in our stores if you like I can arrange to send it for you.

Hi Raha_LA we had the same request on a different post within the last month or so.  If I remember correctly, there were some referrals made on where to get it.  Check back on the posts - do a search and see if you can find it.

Use Garlic salt instead.

My reply was still the best:  make your own!!!  The red sea is right there!!!

I've taken to making my own things.  For example, the price of croutons is exorbitant here and they're not even good-they're the small ones.  Soooooooooooooooooooooo... I have been buying French bread and making my own!

I wanted to buy dried chives for baked potatoes but couldn't find them... but my last trip to tamini's, they had fresh chives. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo ... I dried the chives, cut them up and put them into an empty spaghetti jar I'd been saving (something I would have immediately recycled at home but I know that here you need to re-purpose everything, even the little twistie things for baggies that you have 1 zillion of at home! ... but I digress).

My point is, being here has made me extremely resourceful and you know what?  I kinda like it!
