Hello,

I am a Singaporean who will be in Taipei for a year. I have not found any accommodation yet which is practical within walking distance to NTNU MTC.
Can anyone suggest?
In the meantime are there any hostels which arranges airport pickup as well?

Thanks for all the info

A taxi from Taoyuan airport to central Taipei costs 1000~1200NT. Hotels seldom provide airport transfer services at a reasonable rates tho.

Hello Shann,

You can check friends Hotel at Shuang Cheng St. Taipei that they offer free airport shuttle if you stay minimum of 7 days. I heared their room rates is about 2,500 NT a day or less, depends on how long you will stay. Check it out online or call them.
Good luck.

Hi,
Your best bet is to check tealit.com that may list rentals.
Hostels are budget ops so would not likely arrange airport pickups.
Taxis at the airport offer convenient rides (about 40 min.) to the city for about NT$1,200, or take one of the many shuttle buses for only NT$100 or so that takes about 1.5 hrs.

BTW I worked in Singapore years ago...lived on Anson Rd.
