I'm been living off china's unicom internet access on my iphone, but eating up the bandwidth too quickly!

Please recommended an affordable adsl, broadband isp for my home.

i've seen a 600yuan installation fee for unicom. wonder why other providers there is

Sounds like you have the wrong package.

My internet provider is also China Unicom. One year contract, 2Mb cost is about 80RMB/month.
