Hello forum

I did a search nothing came up. Background: 28 year old male from the United States

I have lived in Lima for one year. After I have traveled quite a bit around South America and it is Peru and Lima where I feel most at home. Currently I am outside of Peru and I dont have the patience to wait to ask this question until I get back.

Does anyone know if a foreign born national could serve in the Peruvian military if they became a citizen? Army or Marine Corps? I would be considering citizenship through marriage.

Why would someone do something something like this you ask? I want to prove my loyalty for my new land. The US turned it's back on me, I am doing the same to it.

Thankyou for your time.
