Post new topic

Good Evening,

I am relocating fo KAEC and I plan to bring my dog to Saudi Arabia. Does KAEC allow dogs in the compound?

Thanks for your help,

Paul

You need to contact the compound directly. Some compounds in Saudi allow dogs and others don't plus there may be a size restrictions. Have you also started to search out a pet moving company?

Dogs are definitely not the favored pet in Saudi :(

Thanks for the reply.

I know Petro Rabigh has a compound there.  Please let me know if there are any other contacts that I can find out if dogs are permitted on the compound grounds?

I plan on using pet relocation out of Austin Texas.  They relocated my dog to Singapore when I lived there.

Thank You,

Paul

Sorry I don't know KAEC or what compounds are there. Another place you could ask is the Susie of Arabia page on facebook.

Part of the problem in getting answers is that KAEC is still being built and not a lot of people live there yet.

Hi there,
I am an australian expat in riyadh, i relocated my cat to ksa, I found lots of trouble to bring her from sydney even with the help of an agent. I noticed that you are worried if your dog would be accepted in the compound, I believe you should be worried about how to bring the dog to KSA first.
There is lots of information on the net about bringing dogs to ksa. do your homework first that you wont find fatal surprises to your dog.the first issue you ve got to convince the customs that your dog is a hunting one for example.
Have a great day

Hello,

My dog is a large breed.  He will be going as a guard dog.

Pet relocation have relocated dogs  successfully to KSA in the past. Their cost is high, but they will get your dog delivered to your door step.

Thanks,

Paul

Thank you for the info.

Are you sending a cargo shipment of some kind? If so include a few bags of dog food. Dog food is not always the easiest to find here. I have seen pedigree lately, but no one ever knows if it will be in the next shipment..

Getting dogs here is an issue, but if you have a company that has done it before you have good odds of him getting here. I have multiple friends who have brought their dogs in, though they are small or medium sized.

What kind do you have? We gave our 2 akita/german shepards before moving here (living happily on a farm in Canada now) since we moved onto a compound where our villa had no yard.
