Hi everyone
Im new to the forum but have lived in Qatar for the last 3 years, working for Aljazeera. I never imagined myself living in the middle East but fell in love with the region almost instantly. Since being here, Ive made many arab friends, especially from Yemen and was lucky enough to visit Aden in 2014, before the war started.Â
I don't drive but instead I cycle everywhere and Im still alive to tell the tale!! When Im not cycling, I spend my free time drinking turkish coffee and exploring the alleys of Souq Waqif with my Yemeni friends, sitting in the Museum of Islamic Art park watching the dhows and the jet skis and hanging out with the camels and their handlers at the race track.
Other than Yemen, I've also visited Jordan recently and I hope to go to Oman this year too. I write a blog about my micro adventures in Qatar and beyond....
Hello. Will be new to Qatar this summer. Thinking of cycling also. Would love to discuss with you as well as make a new friend.

Hello guys,
I'm Ren, living in Doha for about three years now but I am working in Ras Laffan Industrial City as an engineer. I love meeting people from different backgrounds, but I am specifically interested in learning Arabic language, I do volunteering as well.Â
During colder months, I normally stay outdoors (i.e overnight camping) but these days it has become hot and humidity level will increase soon so I'm looking for some indoor activities such as going to the gym. Well, I can still do cycling but I need companion as none of my friends have bicycle as of this moment.
Just send me a PM for anyone interested.
I am Mary, a few months old now in Doha, Doha is a lovely city. With some nice places you can go relax with friends. This summer time however, is too hot to stay outdoors, I hope it ends soon..Thanks for the welcome, I too welcome all the new members on board, feel at home
