Is La Sufren good for a girls night out?

Post new topic

Hi forum

Looking for advice on La Suffren Hotel near the Waterfront.

I have heard some of you talking about Friday nights there. Would it be good for a bunch of women to have dinner/drinks/dance?

Thanks

They actually launch their new lounge this Friday... worth a visit I think ;) (but not for dancing)

Le Suffren can be good - or it can be so so. I've seen both. On busy nights it's got ambiance and is good for socializing and getting to know new people (superficially), but when it's slow it only has the location on the water going for it. You just have to be lucky to pick the right day. But when you're in a bunch, you create your own fun and laughter and atmosphere.
You might want to find out about Friday nights at Four Points Sheraton in Cyber City. They sometimes have a DJ and it can be very lively with a self styled "in" crowd. Apparently a lot of Le Suffren patrons are now flocking to the Sheraton on Friday nights.
There is no sure bet, you must try them both and find out what suits you best, but in my view, both of them are among the best places in and around Port Louis for a Friday night out.

Thanks Aarbee and Julien for your replies

I know the bar at four points it does seem lively..and a lot closer than Port Louis..will give it a try..or maybe we'll do both bars!..us Southerners need a trip further north once in a while!

thanks for the advice

Four Points by Sheraton at Ebene is a good choice on Friday Nights, much more lively!

I like the sound of Four points, I arrive in Mauritius this Saturday for 2 months, and am staying in Vacoas. Is Four points a night club or a bar? Whats the clunge like?
Thanks.

Julien

I went to Suffren yesterday for the Happy hour and it was good.  Nice setup, good ambiance.
