Fidenza - anyone?

Post new topic

Hello.. I was wondering if anyone out there had moved over to Italy and settled in the ER region..I was looking to live in Fidenza- how far would a commute everyday to work in Milan be like? (Mission impossible??)

Any comments/feedback greatly appreciated!

Hi Sara,
I've been living in Fidenza for the last 12yrs myself. It's a very friendly and relaxing place to live and a great hub to travel around from. Alot of direct trains to the central northern hubs (Milan and Bologna), and very close to one of the main autostrada routes.
I work in Bologna which is an hour drive on the motorway. Milan is much the same distance in the other direction.
Commuting to Milan would probably be best by train as traffic is a nightmare.
You might also want to check out Salsomaggiore Terme, which is quite close to Fidenza, but only if you intend buying a car.

let me know if I can be of any help at all.

James
