Best cities to live in Aruba

Post new topic

Hi,

ItÂ’s not always easy to decide in which area to settle in when moving to Aruba. According to you, what are the best cites to live in?

Which regions offer most of the job opportunities, a good quality of life, an affordable cost of living?

Share with us the cities you would recommend to expats and soon-to-be expats in Aruba.

Thank you in advance,

Julien

Greets - Aruba One Happy Island... seeing how there are only 2 cities in Aruba, Oranjestad, and San Nicolaas, which are divided into 8 districts: Noord, Oranjestad divide into 2 districts, Paradera, San Nicolaas is divided into 2 districts, Santa Cruz, and Savaneta.

The north end, Noord is by far the nicest area to live in, in my opinion, but is more expensive. Santa Cruz is nice and other isolated pockets throughout the rest of the island.

Since the island is so small it's really only a short drive anywhere, but for the best housing and neighborhoods and affordable I would have to go with Noord.  In a few years the very southern tip of the island is projected to be developed but right now not much left after the oil industry shut down except a infamous San Nicolass red light district, completely legal and sanctioned by the government.
