advice?

If John McCain is elected the next president of the U.S.A., I am strongly considering moving to a new country.  Would the Dominican Republic be a wise choice?  I have a bachelor's degree, but speak very limited Spanish?  Would I be able to get by?  I'm looking for any and all advice/info.  Thanks a lot.  Feel free to e-mail me if anyone has some worthwhile remarks.

After thought. If the only reason you are considering moving to a 3rd world country is because of the new preident elect, I would say you have alot of homework to do. Living in a place like this(or moving to any caribbean island) is certainly not a choice to make without careful htought and planning. This is not like going to the beaches back home. There is abundant poverty and jobs are not easy to come by. Visit first
